Still Waters, Inner Fire

Winter is not an absence. It is a presence — the presence of stillness, depth, and the quiet fire that burns beneath the surface of all things. In African and Black psychological tradition, darkness is not something to flee. It is where wisdom incubates, where the soul remembers, and where the community finds its warmest expression.

This full-day gathering draws on the rhythms of the Winter season and the rich well of African-centred psychological thought to invite participants into a journey of stillness, inner fire, collective warmth, and purposeful emergence. Through shared nourishment, guided meditation, creative expression, and mindful movement, we move together from the frozen surface into the living roots beneath.

No prior experience of movement, meditation, or therapy is required. Come as you are. The circle will hold you.
